Video Cards?

Does anyone know the "BEST" video card available?
And does anyone have any tweaks that they use to boost performance while gaming?

For me,
I purchased an Nvidia GForce4 4800 Ti Se (I think thats right) about a year or two ago and I have hated it! I wish I had gone with the ATI. The card has done fine but the drivers for the video in/out, and other extras it came with, have been a pain. But I do like the new drivers they came out with. It automatically adjusts for different games like Halo and such instead of me having to manually change settings everytime.

And for tweaks: When playing BF1942/Desert Combat I always shut down Explorer manually and then start the game from the Task Manager - I have found if I do this that when closing the game or changing servers the system is less likely to lock up.

Well, the BEST video card is debateable, as different cards will run slightly better with different systems. If you want the high high high higher than God's forehead video, go with the ATI Fire, which runs about $700 and will pretty much blow everything else on the market away. For half that price you can get a 9800PRO: still a good very high end card. I myself run a 9600XT with a nForce2 MB...$150 for the card and a coupon for HL2 comes with it. (When I comes out, oh...say 2008.)

Check out NewEgg.com for prices...their service can't be beat.
