Halo(PC) and Desert Combat (still waiting for Vietnam) are my all time favorites.
And I cant wait to play the new Splinter Cell - but I think the multi-play might not be that great.
They say that BF Vietnam has alot better graphics than the original, I just hope I dont have to buy a new Vid card the day ofter I buy it.

Re: Whats your favorite game?
Sun, April 11, 2004 - 7:01 PMBF Vietnam I hear is really buggy. I haven't tried it, since there was not demo out.
My favorite MP game is Half-Life. not CS, not Day of Defeat, just straight up HL. I like Desert Combat as well, but haven't played it since I upgraded my system.
Thinking about getting Far Cry though. I truly enjoyed their demo, and the graphics + gameplay are fantastic. Worth getting that new video card. -

Re: Whats your favorite game?
Mon, April 12, 2004 - 5:54 AMMy budget has stopped my buying new games for about 6 months, but now since I started working again I think my first new games will be Splinter Cell and BF Vietnam. But I havent really heard rave reviews about splinter cells online mode.
I have never played Half Life, but I know I really dont like CS. I thought Ravenshield was a much much better game, and I really didnt like it that much. The last LAN party I went to everyone played CS all night, and I played it for my first time, but I cant really say it done anything for me. Its like run around, shoot, wait for next level. -

Re: Whats your favorite game?
Mon, April 12, 2004 - 5:57 AMOugh yeah I forgot to mention that BF Vietnam has a new graphics engine - so im sure all the bugs are not out of it yet. What I have heard is that the graphics are twice as good as the first one. But you know what that means - Twice the graphics, Twice the graphics card to display them. I upgraded last year (or the year before ? ? ?) for Splinter Cell and I hope I dont have to again. -

Re: Whats your favorite game?
Tue, April 13, 2004 - 10:54 AMBF Vietnam is definitely very buggy still. With an nVidia-chipset video card, my fiance's BFV kept locking up within 5-10 minutes of play. I let him take my ATI Radeon 9600 and that seems to work a bit better for him. Amazing graphics and great gameplay!
For me, my favorite LAN games have been Quake 3 and Starcraft. It's been awhile since we've had a LAN party though without most of our group being in an MMORPG. -
